Windows does not save known networks

Hi everyone,

I recently upgraded my pc, and reinstalled Windows in the process. Now, it wont save any network I connect to wirelessly, and I have to reenter the password every restart. I already tried the Network reset option in the settings and reinstalling the network device driver. Any network I connect to is not added to the known networks list in the settings, and if I try to see the network properties, it remains empty (see Image).

In the control panel, there also isn't the expected wireless properties button.

What can I do to solve this?

It's only a hunch... maybe some registry folder might not have the right ACL.

Is there any chance you played a bit with your registry?

I did not change any registries. Thi might be unrelated, but I had an issue where a folder in C:\ProgramData did not have the right permissions set, and no program could write to it.

I'd try with a sfc /scannow from administrative prompt... then reboot... than try again.

I ran sfc and got this message

Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.

I also found this article. Should I do what they say, e.g. run

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
