Budget (including currency): $1100

Country: U.S.

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: old school RuneScape, dozen cameras for my house

Other details I’m new to pc building and forums and any help would be appreciated. I’m looking to build my first pc and get the best bang for the buck prefer to stick between $1000-$1500. I would also like to make it future proof for as long as I can in case I decide to upgrade; the budget doesn’t include peripherals But any suggestions on monitors/small tv 1440p+ and 120hz+ (currently using a 32”  tv I like the bigger sizes) thanks to anyone who can help!

In less than two weeks from now the RX 7800 XT and 7700 XT are due for release.  I would wait for the reviews along with pricing on those cards before making a purchase.

What do you mean by this, CCTV DVR function?

If so is it safe to assume this will be used 24/7?

Yes mam and it will be on 99% of the time

Noted.

If this is strictly for OSRS and DVR, id just do this like a trueNAS build. Put the system on Raid 5,30TB in theory should be able to archive 720p footage from 10 cameras for almost half a year.

If you want it to be a bit more flexible for gaming than that and just have option for more storage later, this is the quick remix. Put them on something rebuildable like unRAID or Raid Z in this case, because normal RAID usually isn't that scalable for amateurs.
