Technically yes, but I would not recommend it.

 

Main issue is that over time it might polymerize and gunk up, or otherwise degraded. That would mean the opposite of the desired effect. Keep in mind that grease usually has the effect of being thick under normal conditions, but thinning to an oil-like state under shear. This keeps it in place and prevents it from spreading all over the place like regular lubricants like oils. So if you use more than just enough to coat the thing, you will have glycerin all over the place sooner or late.

 

Also I don't know about compatibility with the switch material, especially long term. PC seems to be ok, not sure about POM etc. though.

You don't want to use any food or vegetable oils because they'll go rancid.

 

You want a non-conductive, petroleum based lubricant, like Caig DeOxIt Faderlube or the dry 3-in-1 oil @Rocketdog2112 suggested.
