I have to build a PC for my friend but our only budget is 760 USD. This budget includes monitor too. There is no minimal requirements. But he will use this for gaming. Any ideas? Your guidance will mean a lot. Thanks!

Maybe something like this?

10400f - 6 core 12 threads. Plenty fast for gaming. Comes with stock cooler.
16GB RAM.

1TB M.2 SSD.

RTX 3060 12GB!

Decent case but pick whatever you can for around that price.

And a nicely reviewed 1080p 75hz monitor.

Kind of refreshing how cheap PC's have become. Got used to the 2019-2022 prices.

Try this. I wouldn't get anything less than this monitor. 75hz to 144hz is worlds apart:

Country?

Budget?

Usecases aside from gaming?

Even 600$ ish is usually enough for a used 5600(x) + used 6700xt/3070 or even 6800 combo, not to mention you might find good deals on used monitors, usually theres a buncha good deals on fb marketplace or other classifieds sites like gumtree, craigslist, etc. And you want to buy everything used with the case psu and gpu being the ones thatll save you the most money, ignore used storage and coolers as those dont save much if any

Well then we could do the standard 600$ basic AM4 build. Not worthwhile going for LGA1700 when we are not going to get a board that'll be solid enough for any step up in CPU performance due to electrical current and VRM heat limitations.

Motherboard: MSI B450M PRO-VDH MAX Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard  ($74.98 @ Amazon)

Case: Deepcool CC560 ATX Mid Tower Case  ($59.99 @ B&H)
Power Supply: MSI MAG A650BN 650 W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply  ($69.98 @ Amazon)

And with not going straight for 144Hz, the gift writes itself. Just give them a 144hz monitor next. If you really want to have 144hz right off the bat, then we gotta bump up 20$ off the budget.

I designed this as a Linux system mainly but it should be more than fine in Windows as well (in Linux you will just get some extra oomph). It's $800 but I think it's worth the extra $40 just for the Ryzen 3600:
