Hi everyone, long time lurker, (almost) first time poster.

I'm looking to purchase a laptop that has two full Thunderbolt 4 ports available, ideally x4 each. I thought at first that this would be a simple request, but it turns out that getting the actual specs to whats behind those ports is very difficult and time consuming. Initially, I purchased the HP Omen 16-k0000ca - but learned that it's two "Thunderbolt" ports are actually Thunderbolt emulation over USB4. This led to some serious stability issues and I wound up returning the device.

Specifically, I'm looking for a device that can utilize multiple external PCI-e enclosures for video capture/driver cards (not e-GPUs). I've had great success with this setup on both Intel-based Macbooks as well as a random Razer notebook I was able to pick up at Micro Center, but seeing as I would like to deploy a few of these, I'm looking to spec compare and futureproof a bit.

The closest resource that I've found for anyone putting together some comprehensive research is this:

https://www.ultrabookreview.com/10579-laptops-thunderbolt-3/

but unfortunately the list appears out of date at this point. Can anyone point me to some research about the current offerings in the marketplace for multiple Thunderbolt port laptops?

Thanks all!

Is there a reason you're not still looking at Macbook Pro's? 14 and 16" models have three independent Thunderbolt 4 ports.

Ryzen 7 7800x3D -  Asus RTX4090 TUF OC- Asrock X670E Taichi - 32GB DDR5-6000CL30 - SuperFlower 1000W - Fractal Torrent - Assassin IV - 42" LG C2 - Windows 11 Pro

Unfortunately I need an x86 compatible CPU to natively run the Windows only software that is required.
