Budget (including currency): UNDER $3000 USD (hopefully)

Country: US

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: I go though phases of fortnite/ COD randomly but looking to get into some new online games on steam (maybe rust with my friends), VR eventually. Looking to also run some CAD software for 3d printing and CNC work.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I’m going to need everything.  Right now I only have a MacBook that I bought for college and only really use for typing documents and watching YouTube. I play games on Xbox. I’m having trouble watching a lot of these videos on builds because of all the options. I don’t think I’d be about to order everything and be able to put it together without a step by step video but I haven’t found one that I think has the right build for me. I’m hoping someone can point me in the direction of a website or somewhere that sells decent set ups that are eventually upgradable or even some more basic videos on current systems. Thank you for any and all advice.

(I don't know exactly what else you need, for example a screen, a keyboard, a desk, etc)

or if you have a micro center nearby, go there and you can take out a prebuilt pc or if they have the option to put together your components, whatever you choose

Add a mouse, keyboard and headset to this build and you're good to go.  I would look to see what Logitech has to offer in that regard.
