You'll be ok with an 850w in the 13700k build btw, also do you need 2 seperate 1 tb drives? Apart from that the rest looks good

I want to almost get a higher power supply if I do end up getting a 4090 instead of the 4080, and I want to keep my games adn videos seperate to system and downloads (web) so that if I need to test games or bring games and videos with me from 1 system to another I can jsut take that 1m.2 drive with just the games and video

And should I get the MSI Z790 GAMING PRO WIFI or the MSI MAG Z790 TOMAHAWK WIFI motherboard?

Sorry for responding a bit late, just got up, is there any difference between the two that could effect performance or temperatures?

yes, the tdp, also the die. If you spend about 30 bucks you could get the thermalcright contact frame and drop temps by at least 5 degrees Thermalright Intel LGA1700 12th Gen Anti-Bending Buckle Curved Pressure Plate CPU Mounting Buckle CPU Stress Bend Correction Fixer Mounted Fixed Without Trace Installation Black: Amazon.de: Computer & Accessories

Well there are differences in terms of IO

Z790 gaming pro: image.thumb.png.2f8fabfbccb95784765016f390586068.png

Z790 tomahawk:

image.thumb.png.820fef7b73dfad153da5243d17739254.png

But the z790 tomahawk also has more features

Z790 tomahawk features:

image.png.a622e5f22c9f4c7bc56b278f4c3ec33d.png

But in terms of the performance of the actual mobos they're basically the same i.e. the 13700k and 13900k should run the same on both boards

Okay, looks like I need to give up that RGB then lol, but the tomahawk only has 1 USB 3,2 gen 1 header on it, is that something I should worry about?

And the less PCIe ports?
