I just build my own PC with these specs:

  • Intel i5 13600k
  • Biostar b760 mx-e pro
  • Nvidia Inno3d 4070
  • BeQuiet Dark Rock 4

Now I can use the pc when having no load, but as soon as I click on start on cinebench it shuts down. Instantly.

I checked core temps and at idle they are at around 30-40 degrees. Pretty normal, but when any load is present it instantly jumps up to a 100 degrees. Not even a ramp up, just in an instant.

So I checked to cooler, fan was inserted, spinning normally, I even took it off and re-aplied the termal paste, which was spread out good in a thin layer, so no issues here.

The cooler is rated for 200w, while the cpu is only 125w. So there should be no problems here, which there arent, the cooler is working fine.

Is it normal to have the erratic cpu temperatures, is there something I can do? Is it something in my Bios, is the cpu not detecting the temperatures normally??? I am at a loss...

here is a screenshot of coretemp while running cinebench:

What do you mean with contact frame? is that something that goes around the cpu? and what does it exactly do?

So the lga1700 socket has a warping issue causing bad contact between the cpu and heatsink thus weird temp issues.

It removes the metal socket and replaces it with a brace that prevents flexing and warping thus fixing a design flaw.
