Hello everyone! i'm new here, this is my first post (as far as I'm aware) so if this topic belongs somewhere else, I apologise in advance. A month ago my laptop just went dark, out of nowhere. First, I thought it overheated, so I let it sit for some time, but every time I went to check on it, the result was the same so I left it in a shop to be fixed. Got a call today that the PC was ready. Its problem was the graphics card, a Nvidia GTX 1650, just stopped working and the fix was to deactivate it. Now I have to use Intel Graphics on a gaming laptop and the HDMI port doesn't even work anymore. The solution I found in the meantime was to take the maximum advantage of what the integrated graphics can do so I'm now looking for drivers to install and update. Problem is: I don't know which ones to get. On the Acer page (the laptop is Acer) there are a couple from Nvidia, which are worthless to me now, and some from Intel. And on the Intel website there is one that's called "Intel® 7th-10th Gen Processor Graphics - Windows*", but is has the following warning "Installing this graphics driver from Intel will remove customizations from your computer manufacturer (OEM)". My knowledge about this is not that good so, first of all. is the solution I'm following a good one? Are there better ones? If I should follow through with this, which drivers from which places should I get?
By the way, are there better replacement GPUs for a laptop or is it better to just get a new machine altogether?
Sorry for the long post but I'm drifting on this matter.
Thank you!

For IntelGraphics? Not really sure but I would say no since I never payed it too much attention

ok so did you want to look in the device manager if it already has a driver installed or just guess

Welp, it redirected me to that driver so, guess I'm installing it.
But what about the solution, you think this is the best approach or are there better options?

I installed the new one now. I'm guessing it does

well if you ever want to look at the device manager and see if it has a driver installed vs just guessing , be sure to let us know

oh ok im not seeing where it was mentioned that you checked device manager and it already had a driver installed. perhaps you can quote it as the line doesn't appear on my end of the forum.

if the laptop has the latest driver for the intel gpu then thats going to be about all you can do to make that gpu perform or get the most out of it.

oh well, thank you for the help anyway.
With that out of the way, getting a new machine should probably be the best next course of action, no? For what I seached up, you can't really replace the GPU from a laptop. Either that or it's too much for the outcome
