I've recently purchased a used RX580 which the seller claimed was mined on for less than 3 months. So far, everything has been working fine except for when I tried to play with the settings on AC Unity to stress the vram and got these weird scan lines after maxing out AA. They didn't appear in the menu and the HUD or the desktop and changing back the settings didn't fix the problem. However, when I restarted the game with the same settings they were gone. Was this a bug with the game or should I be worried?

Edit: took my dumb ass long enough to realize that it's not even a bug, let alone a hardware problem. It's an effect triggered when you're low on health.

I wouldn't worry.  Games and PC's are weird and sometimes things just glitch out regardless.  If it keeps happening then we have a problem, but once or twice might just be something acting up.

as mentioned above.....

Sounds more like a glitch messing with settings.

Even with perfect GPUs it is possible to get them to glitch if one throws enough at them with some games. I blame the games more often than the GPU.

Plus it is from 2014 so no idea if they even bother to fix some of the more difficult bugs as they have moved onto to more AC releases since then.

Thanks for your reply. Will have my eye on it. Fortunately, the seller's given me a one month warranty.

Thanks a lot. Showed the video to a repair shop and they said the same. Will keep an eye on it in case sth goes wrong tho.
