Budget (including currency): £250 (Roughly not a strict budget)

Country: England

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: I usually play rust, league of legends, space engineers, forza horizon 5, halo, civilization 6

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I currently have a ryzen 2600 on a asus tuf b450-m gaming plus, with an rx 570 4GB, my psu is 500W White from EVGA (I wish i had bought something better at the start), im looking to upgrade graphics card as the 4GB vram is showing its age, however im unsure what would be the best option for this price range currently, i am looking to buy asap, but i dont wanna rush myself into a bad purchase again.

6600 non XT with a 5600 would make a bit more sense but yeah a CPU upgrade is definitely on due with what OP plays. They could slap in 5800X3D but id just go for 5700X and dont have to deal with a chance of power throttle.

given that, what would be the best graphics card? im kinda stuck between a 6650xt and a 3060 12gb, i have no preference in terms of brand, i just care about performance and longevity

6600 non-XT and a non garbage power supply- that PSU is a major limiting factor, and that one specifically is a bomb unit- the W1 series from EVGA is F tier

what PSU would you recommend? if i may ask

Anything in cultists A tier. https://cultists.network/140/psu-tier-list/

Specific ones I’d recommend are the RM750e from Corsair,https://pcpartpicker.com/product/YRJp99/corsair-rm750e-2023-750-w-80-gold-certified-fully-modular-atx-power-supply-cp-9020262-na because it’s usually one of the cheapest A tier units, or the GF1 series from Thermaltake (whichever is cheapest between 650 and 850 watts) https://pcpartpicker.com/product/dJmFf7/thermaltake-toughpower-gf1-pe-750-w-80-gold-certified-fully-modular-atx-power-supply-ps-tpd-0750fnfagu-1
