Hi. Just upgraded by system to a very nice AMD Ryzen 9 7900. Non X version. Along with 64GB DDR5 RAM. It has the 2TB SSD and the AMD RX 6600 I already had. Not a big gamer, using this machine more for content creation. The thing is I have a Sharkoon 550W PSU. I have heard 'iffy' and not very complimentary things about this brand. Should I replace with a 'better' brand?

Personaly, yes, I would change that out. I will never own a 'mediocre' PSU, I dont want to take that risk at all.  Sharkoon has one or two PSU's in the mid tier and low tier on the PSU Tier List and a couple in the :Avoid.

No Problem 🙂  I do understand that some people are on a budget and can't afford a top tier PSU but its not the place to 'cheap out'   What are you currently looking at?

Solid unit, its not on the tier list yet as its a very new PSU. But its definitely better than the sharkoon!
Check for the RM850x or RM850e. They might be a bit more expensive however, they are very very reliable PSU's

Does he need an 850w PSU though? It's a 6600 and 7900 combo.

I'd save money with a quality 650w unit.
