So, I watched some benchmarks that included VALORANT for both my 4070 and 12600KF and both had really good FPS, way above mine. VALORANT is CPU bound (if I'm not wrong) and I've noticed that my CPU is barely used, so is my GPU.

I thought this might be something related to my CPU or GPU but I benchmarked both and neither seem to underperform. I ran Cinebench R23 and my results were average. I also ran Time Spy and my results were a little above average.
I then ran Userbenchmark (yes, I know it's not the best benchmark whatsoever but useful enough to see if any of my components are underperforming), and apparently my RAM had a terrible bench. I also used Passmark's Performance Test and it showed that my RAM wasn't performing as good as any of my other parts either, so I'm just wondering if my RAM is causing all these problems. I benchmarked my FPS in VALORANT and I got 150-230 fps with everything on low, and anisotropic filtering set at 16x, and every other benchmark that I've seen was 300-500 fps stable. CPU not overclocked, GPU slightly OCd but no difference as overclocking only gets a 10% perf boost. XMP is enabled, speed is 3600mhz. VSync and G-Sync are both off. High performance mode is enabled on power plans.
Definitely not something to do with temperatures as neither my GPU or my CPU have ever gone over 80C.
Would getting a better RAM / getting two RAM sticks for dual channel fix this issue?

Specs:
GPU: 4070 MSI Ventus 3X OC

EDIT: I've noticed this isn't only happening in VALORANT, it's also happening in pretty much any CPU bound game like GTA V.

Just about to say single channel memory is the problem. Dual channel almost doubles the bandwidth over single channel, so your 3600MHz stick is even slower than two entry level 2400MHz sticks...

So would getting a 2 RAM kit just pretty much fix it?

It might.

Honestly, you should never go with just a single stick of RAM.

Yeah, I know. It was just what I had at hand when building this rig and I was too lazy to get two sticks. I'll just get 2x8 3200mhz sticks when I get paid and I'll let you guys know how that works out for me.

Yes single channel is a problem but before switching to 2 8Gb sticks (which you have to do because it's only benefits) verify if XMP is enabled.

Yes, as I've said XMP is enabled, and my performance is way lower than people with same specs but different RAM. So I guess I just have to get dual channel and maybe that'll fix it.
