Just built a new pc with a used/ certified remanufactured 6800xt reference edition and the drivers keep breaking like black screen after motherboard logo and then my monitor turns off because of no signal. The pc worked for a day before the drivers seemingly broke. This has happened multiple times and I’ve done a fresh install of windows 3 times. I am able to go into safe mode and uninstall and reinstall drivers and this has fixed the problem for now but I’m worried at the frequency of these failures. I’m using the latest drivers from amd. Is this a problem with the gpu itself or is it a problem with this driver edition?

When AMD software says that there is no GPU detected or that no compatible GPU is detected, there is a simple fix : do all your Windows updates before installing AMD software.

Thanks I’ll try this if the drivers break again currently the drivers are working as normal. Even though I’m fairly certain I had done all windows updates first before I went and downloaded amd drivers. Currently the drivers are working after reinstalling them 3 different times. Hopefully it stays working.
