Mw2 cross play not working on Xbox series x

So I am having an issue with cross play on my series x. I recently got an Xbox series x and was originally using a ps5 to play mw2. When I started to play mw2 I linked my acc and got all my content. Recently I have an issue with cross play, when I match make by myself I cannot get into matches with pc players and ps5 players. My cross play doesn’t work when I’m loading a game mode by myself. (I have cross play activated in the Xbox privacy settings). I have my Xbox privacy to play with other players on other consoles to “allowed”. The weird problem is I can play with other consoles when i am not host in a lobby. If my friend has cross play activated and when I join him, when he starts a match he gets into one and same as me since he’s host. Why doesn’t my cross play work when I'm matching up solo even when I have cross play enabled in he Xbox privacy settings tab?
