So I have a dell inspiron 14 plus laptop and bought it about half a year ago. I've been having problems with it since I got it and have had to contact dell multiple times for assistance. Well my current worst problem is that randomly my touchpad will just stop working. For some reason I can still click but I am unable to move my cursor. To fix it I have to shut my laptop, relog in, and then it'll start working again. I've tried deleting and reinstalling drivers and disconnecting Bluetooth devices(Someone on the internet said this would help) but neither have worked. I dont think its a hardware issue as I am very careful with my laptop and haven't gotten any food or drink on it. Any suggestions on what to do? Thanks!!

Are you using a Genuine Dell charger? I had an issue with a used Dell laptop recently and it ended up being of all things the older non Dell charger. Old charger was right specs, worked fine in my old laptop, but the newer one would have terrible track pad issues when plugged in. Does the problem persist on battery power? Do you have a Fn key combo that turns off the touchpad? Is touchpad working if you press F12 at boot and go into the BIOS settings? Is it disabled in BIOS?
