I know I should just buy a new pc like everyone says but i enjoy building this, sense I'm new I've only been able to Add a ram stick and replace the thermal paste and this gpu/psu was my next project, Just to explain things a bit.

That OEM build appears to only come with a 180W power supply, where I wouldn't even recommend throwing a GT 1030 or RX 6400 in it. I can't tell if its proprietary since photos online that I can find of the internals don't show the motherboard power connector. Standard is 24 pin, setup in a 2x12 configuration, generally anything of that size should fit a standard 24 pin ATX connector from a standard ATX power supply.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend throwing any dGPU in that system given the specs you're working with. Its still a decent office PC, but its not worth it as a gaming PC, even as just a baseline after throwing in a discrete GPU. There's far more sustainable ways in 2023 of getting far more powerful hardware for less. You could at least save your boot drive and RAM and throw it into a newer platform (without having to reinstall windows btw).

I'm looking at Walmart and amazon but they all seem like scams and something different from what I was looking up.

A GPU recommendation isn't complete without a few questions answered:

-What's your budget?

-What resolution are you playing at?

-What games do you actually play the most or hope to play?

I'm at 400USD or less I'm not going to big? I don't know how to see my resolution my settings on games let me change it. I play mostly War thunder trying to be able to play Apex and fallout games like those
if you can tell me how to check my resolution that would be great.

Apex is going to struggle the same on a 7700T unfortunately. Its quite a CPU intensive game. War thunder on the other hand is fairly low powered comparably.

RX 6700 XT is still the current $300-$400 GPU king, which is practically the 'best value' bracket for graphics cards in 2023. Something to consider though is spending a bit more and just upgrading the system entirely, since a 7700T is quite far behind in 2023, especially if you're aiming to play Apex Legends.

A RX 6700 XT is a great recommendation for either 1080p or 1440p for almost any game, which falls nicely into that price point. Just realize that in a game like Apex Legends, you might not see much of a performance gain simply because of how heavy that game is on the CPU. 7700T isn't far off of a 4790k, and Apex Legends is what got me to finally upgrade a couple years ago when it came out since it would 100% that CPU.

Intel Core i3-13100 vs Intel Core i7-7700 Benchmark, comparison and differences (cpu-monkey.com)

For reference, to a $120 CPU (talking the 13100f specifically). A T variant is going to get even less.

Its possible to buy a new LGA 1700 compatible motherboard and CPU for <$300, then buy something like an RX 6600 at <$200. Its also possible that you just buy an RX 6700 XT then figure out if you're still lacking performance expectations (likely) and then buy a ~$300 platform upgrade.

Go into a game and Graphics/Video settings, it will show you what resolution you play at.

Otherwise, what monitor do you have?  I assume it's a standard 1080p monitor, unless it's some super old or really odd brand.

I don't really want to replace my CPU becuase then i would most likely have to get a new motherboard with a gpu and psu I do not mind if i cant run the best stuff I'm just looking for an upgrade to enjoy games a bit better

I'd not look at anything greater than an RX 6700 XT. An RX 6600 can be had for <$200 now a days and is a great card. It'll only run in PCIe 3.0 8x with your system, but the loss in performance isn't that substantial, considering we're working with a 7700T to start.

It's worth considering on getting an RX 6600, seeing if its enough performance, and if its not, then upgrading your CPU+motherboard. Intel's 12th and 13th generation are very good and can be had for very cheap, and support DDR4 if your 7700T is a DDR4 platform (could be DDR3, it was transitional like 12th and 13th generation is between DDR4 and DDR5).

A whole system with even a compact design can be had for quite cheap in 2023. Here's an example of a build I've theorycrafted as a compact 1080p gaming machine for ~$600 total. 32GB of RAM isn't required, but its only $30 to upgrade, same goes with 1TB versus 500GB for the storage.

I'd just recommend getting a new system than dropping in a graphics card upgrade. The RX 6600 in the photo is 200mm long, which fits in even that tiny case.

OEM systems like that started using proprietary power supply connections instead of using standard ATX. Its possible that your PSU isn't replaceable nor has an 8 pin VGA aux connection required for any graphics card worth dropping in. I deal with this problem quite often with that generation OEM system and current, where I've just elected to standardize on DIY builds instead.

PowerColor Fighter Radeon RX 6600 Video Card AXRX 6600 8GBD6-3DH - Newegg.com

The case supports 200mm and that card is 200mm long. I have the same barebones chassis but with an Intel Arc A380, which is 190mm long, and the case has a lot more than 10mm of extra length if that's reassuring.

Some info on the chassis if any, I've got a 12100f and A380 in the build, which an RX 6600 (that one specifically) I've considered on getting just because, and throwing it in this system. So it would be a similar system as the one I linked but technically with a better CPU. I wanted to specifically test the absolute minimum contrary to spending another like $70 on a GPU to get 2-3x the performance that the RX 6600 provides over the A380.

*One thing to note, the 13100f probably requires a UEFI update to be supported, and worst case, the 12100f or 12400f are just as good and don't require that.
