Laptop can't use Ethernet while Android TV can

ToasterBoogaloo

My router is the one that my ISP provided, it's a Huawei router or some kind, I plugged the ethernet cable into the same port to my android tv and it detects it just fine and the internet is fine, then I tried plugging it into my laptop, still in the same port and my laptop refuses to connect to the internet, it detects it but it won't identify and won't connect to the internet, I have never configured or mess around with ethernet, am I missing something? is there something else I need to do in order to use ethernet?

My router is a Huawei and my laptop is a 2020 Asus TUF A15 with Realtek PCie GbE Family controller, at least thats what the network adapter settings said.

Nope, it sets to automatic, but I did set the DNS manually to 1.1.1.1, does that affect anything?

No it's optional. Can you set to to automatic on both and try to ping google.com and 8.8.8.8 by command prompt to see if it works.
