Zigbee help needed.

I'm trying to get away from using WiFi bulbs and plugs. I recently picked up a Sengled ZigBee smart hub, and a couple Sengled bulbs. They've been decent. Now I'm looking at plugs.

 

My question is, will any ZigBee devices work? I see dozens of plug and bulb brands, and would like to stay away from having an app and/or hub for every brand.

Homeassistent on a raspberry pi with a Deconz usb stick supports a lot of zigbee brands / devices.

 

I wouldn't count on it for a branded hub like sengled to support other brands.

Oh man I didn't even consider doing anything with a pi. Looking into this now, thanks!
