NHD-15 Compatibility question

Go to solution Solved by manikyath,

because of how ryzen is designed, most heat is produced towards one side of the IHS as opposed to in the middle (intel is in the middle), so some coolers (or boards? i dont recall who came up with this) have an option to mount the cooler 'offset' so it's not over the middle of the IHS, but towards the side where more heat is produced. this ofcourse also means that your big boy heatsink is now covering PCIe slots.

I have a meg x670e ace motherboard and a NH-D15 chromax cooler.

When I checked the compatibility website, it states:

"The cooler overhangs the top PCIe x16 slot when used in the offset mounting position. This issue can be resolved by using the standard (non offset) position."

What is meant by the standard (non offset) position?

The cooler came with  NM-AMB4 mounting bars. Do I use them?
