Hello guys!

New to the forum, long time "watcher".

I've finally decided to sack my old Thermaltake Versa H17 and am looking for a new alternative case.

The primary reason for this is that the DP on the back of my GPU is being interfered by the stupid bracket...

It works but is very easily wiggled out for a spontaneous disconnection (which is probably really bad for the GPU too...)

Regardless, this is my current build that I've updated piece by piece over the years:

CPU : Intel Core i7 12700KF

MB : Aorus Z690M DDR4

RAM: 2*16GB Corsair Vengeance 3600 DDR4

AIO : TUF Gaming LC 240

GPU : Zotac RTX 3070ti Trinity OC

SSD : Cruical P5 NVMe 2TB (C drive)

HDD : Barracuda 6TB 5400RPM

PSU : Enermax Revo 1200W

Fans : 1*140mm intake, 1*120mm exhaust

I'd like to do a full case migration and am willing to swap out a few parts like the PSU depending on what fits and what doesn't.

But I do wish the case to be fairly small, no major reason besides that I like smaller form factors.

I was looking at the Q300L but wasn't sure if I did a Front AIO mount, that my 3070ti would fit.

The specifications say that a 240 front mounted AIO would work, but wasn't sure if a 317mm GPU was considered at the same time.

Front mounting the AIO is not a must, I just have really bad experience with top mounts, but am totally willing to try it again if there's enough clearance!)

Also, my understanding is that the temps will be pretty hot so I'd have to add more fans, but I do have plenty of those lying around.

(Any recommended fan configurations are super super welcomed!)

With all that out of the way,

1.) Will my parts be migratable?  (what compromise will allow a migration?)

and/or

2.) Is there a better / recommended alternative case?

Budget (including currency): ~250USD

Country: Japan

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: lots of spreadsheets, moderate gaming, moderate amount of video editing

Thanks for reading this far, and I hope somebody can throw some recommendations at me!

And please have a nice day~

Is there any rgb on this?

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

nope!
and I don't plan on adding any either.

Bonus!  That’s the only thing I can think of that might complicate this. You should be able to disconnect everything in one case, move it to the new one, reassemble, and it should work fine the 120 won’t fit on the back.  It wants a 140, but it comes with a bigass fan on the front.  200 or 300mm or something.  You can fit rubber fan screws in the side panel holes so you can mount fans there if you want.  It’s got a 240mm/280mm rack though.  I put fans in it.

Thanks Bombastinator!

I just wanted to be absolutely clear before I click on "purchase", but when you say "it should work fine",

do you mean that the components should work (as in turn on and function)?

or do you mean everything will fit nicely.

(thanks for replying too!)

Fit is your problem.  I can tell you it would fit in the case I bought which was a thermalsomething someletter20.  Cube shaped thing. Good case and cheap

You'll have to forgive me if I missed that as a confirmation, been living in Japan too long now... 😅

I gave what little info I could about fit in an edit.  May or may not help.

Whoops!  Sorry, I didn't see the edit til just now.
I'm assuming your case is the "Thermaltake LEVEL 20 VT"

I love the inner configuration of that case a lot more... I'll have to go see what the local PC parts dealrs have in Akihabara later.

Thanks for your info!  Greatly appreciated.😀

There are 3 sizes.  An atx, a matx, and an itx.  Mine was the matx as I thought the atx one was waaay too big and my board wouldn’t fit in the itx.   I put an xfx 6800xt in it with the metal anti sag bracket so it will take hugely long cards (which you don’t have). The basement is monstrous. It’s set up for I think 4 3.5” drives out of the box but looks like it could take 2 or 4 more without trouble.  Also 4 2.5” on the side.  Alll the side panels are the same size so if you want to mount vertical you can.  Just swap the bottom to one side.  I put the see thru panel on the top so I could get cross airflow.  Also they stack.
