hello, I'm currently experiencing boot loops and I believe it's due to my 5950x. the error codes I get are bad_pool_caller and kernel_mode_heap_corruption. I have absolutely no idea what's wrong with it, but any help would be massively appreciated.

side note, I cannot boot into windows whatsoever, even with safe mode. I can however get into bios and cmd through recovery.

I'm running a windows 11 pro installation with a crosshair VIII formula, Ryzen 5950x, 4ghz Kingston fury renegade (no xmp or overclock) and a 3080.

what memory are you using? Running latest Bios version? XMP / DOCP enabled or running at default / stock speed?

sorry, forgot to include it. I'm using 4000mhz Kingston fury renegade, of which is neither xmp of docp as I thought maybe it was the problem, but alas it was not. I can assure you it is not a memory issue too, as I have another set and that one resulted in the same errors.

Those would be more in the RAM territory than CPU, even storage. Try booting with one stick of RAM at time. If both sticks crash when used alone, create a Live Linux USB to see if it crashes when you don't use the storage.

It can be the memory controller on the CPU, but that's on the rarer side of faults.

neither sticks of ram, nor of another set, are working as a solution. I also won't be able to create/use a live Linux usb as I don't have access to a windows system.

Check if PBO (Precision Boost Overdrive) is set to Disabled/Off in the OC/Tweaking part of the BIOS. Some motherboard vendors changed Auto to mean On instead of the intended Off and BIOS updates can change this behavior.

I turned it off, but still the same bad_pool_caller and kernel_mode_heap_corruption

You don't even post/boot with 1 RAM stick with no XMP ?

Try a Repair Install, choosing to Keep Files. https://www.elevenforum.com/t/repair-install-windows-11-with-an-in-place-upgrade.418/

If all else fails, consider a Clean Install

I have tried doing the 'reset this pc' option in recovery, but I cannot complete the reset as I cannot boot into windows. I'm currently stuck at the 'just a moment' screen, of which is where it bluescreens.

You can boot off of the Windows 11 Installer USB Flash Drive. Here hold down the Shift key and press F10. This will open the Command Prompt.

Here type bootrec /rebuildbcd and press Enter.

Make sure your HDD/SSD are healthy and not the issue by typing chkdsk /R in the Command Prompt. it will take a long time to finish.
