recently my pc has been really slow.... it most definitely has to be the hdd, things like game load times to certain games not loading at all they just go not responding. And incite would be most helpful :P if there is any good HDD testing utilities out there that would be great. i am soon get a 840 evo but for the time being im stuck with my terrible HDD

try defragmenting the main partition (reccommend doing it over 2-5 times) that should clear out the issue partially...

may want to think about boacking up data , might be a sign that the drives failing maybe.

try defragmenting the main partition (reccommend doing it over 2-5 times) that should clear out the issue partially...

cool. make sure you're using the defrager within windows , aftermarket defrag 'can' be used but with caution as some em can create more problems. (...& sorry for the typo on the above post ^_^ )

yea i use the one with windows, i dont know why but i didn't cross my mind to defrag my disk

You might have a bad sector on your drive. Most drives will try for a long time to read bad sectors unless they're built for NAS applications.

last I checked it said I had about 15 bad sectors, now it's saying I have none honestly I think my HDD has issues xD
