Which memory module would is better?

I currently have 16GB(8x2) of 3600 18-19-19-39 installed and was given a 3200 32GB(2x16) 16-18-18-39 kit. Would the kit given to me off a significant upgrade?

The 3600 is faster in terms of bandwidth. The latency is effectively the same, CL18 @ 3600 is comparable to CL16 @ 3200.

 

Games typically don't benefit too much from bandwidth and mostly care about latency. The one advantage of more RAM would be that you can run games that require more than 16 GB.
