Yes. There are some signal integrity issues, that you probably don't have to worry about. But you'll also just have twice the chance of failure with twice the amount of RAM sticks.

 

Specifically with DDR5, going from 2 to 4 sticks of RAM also usually lowers the maximum speed that is supported on the current platforms.
