Hey guys so when it comes to macros and key bindings i am a relative noob. I play a lot of FiveM, the modded gta v servers where you can play in a roleplay environment or freeroam. As you know if you play fivem, you can have key bindings, by opening the console using f8 and typing "bind keyboard "KEY" "ACTION"", and i needed more buttons and also needed a new motherboard. so i stumbled across the Steelseries Apex Pro, and noticed that imbedded within the home button, delete button and page up and page down buttons there are M1-M6 Keys, which i think are for macros, and they work when you press down the "Steelseries/FN" Key. My question is, is there a way to bind just the M1 Key to an action within fivem? Like if i type something along the lines of "bind keyboard "FN+HOME" "E DANCE" or something like that, where "FN+HOME" basically triggers the M1 key. thanks in advance for help

Heavily depends on how the stock key works, but most of the time theyre just default to 1-6 or blank out without the software like other gaming macro keys that ive used. Youll have to manually bind it as a key thats functional to windows like the hidden F13-24 but i dont think RAGE acknowledges that as a valid keybind.

so there is no real way for me to type in the console M1 or something like that ? i have to assign the m1 key as an f13 and then try and use f13 as a bind?

sorry for this, its my first time meddling in macro keys and i thought they were assigned their own key

Yeah, or you can make a key record so the macro is just a simple script running every time you press it. Steelseries has this document on their Engine software, flip to page 15 for the guide on macro editor.
