Hello everyone, so i recently lost the m.2 screw in my pc, and i am looking to buy this 500 screws kit, but im not sure will any of those work for me, seems like the safest option because they are in nearly all sizes here, but from what i know, i need an m2x2.5 screw, and it doesnt seem to have one, so if it is ok pls tell me, and if it isnt then tell me which one will work.

more than likely it will have what you need but that is a lot of screws for the 1 you need. i would spend a little more time looking for it before spending the money. depending on where and when you lost it, its probably still inside the case under the motherboard.

I mean I spent like 30 minutes searching, if anything it fell into the cable management side of the case, and I'm not taking it all apart, so ill buy that, pretty cheap anyway, so thx

it is a good idea to verify that it is not in the case and depending on the case, it should have a "back panel" panel behind the motherboard that can be removed and seen if the screw is there. a screw that size can get into places you do not want it and cause your system to fry itself because of a short. so if you are ok with the 30 minutes you spent looking then ok, I would just make sure that it wasn't in the case. plus you don't have to undo all your cable management, either one at a time or knowing when you stood the case up it would fall to the bottom of the case.

I mean it probably is lol, there is like a hole for some of the cables, and it could fall there, tho it looks very unlikely, anyway a screw came with the ssd I bought so it's fine, and I have no idea how to take off the back panel since it was a prebuilt

Any decent hardware store will sell M2 metric screws- that's all that these screws are, just usually with a wider head. I'm not sure how things are in your area but out here they all have these little drawers with all the sizes.

It's usually a simple metric M2 screw, 3mm length.

what is the prebuilt exactly? most of the time its the same screws you would take for the one panel to work on it. other times it's riveted to the frame so you cant. and good to hear it came with one, that is kind of surprising as most dont.
