Simple M2 installation question

Go to solution Solved by Lurick,

Yes, leave the pad that's already there on but don't install anything else.

The Kingston drive you mentioned is double sided by the way.

Everything else you said is correct and no it doesn't matter about the existing pad not being fully aligned, it's fine 🙂

Hi, just to make sure im doing this right. So I have a Asus tuf gaming plus wifi ii and kingston renegade fury 2TB M2. I asume the drive is double sided need to google a little bit more.

So do I leave the rubber that is on the motherboard on its place BUT dont install the additional slim rubber on top of the rubber. I then install the standoff screw on to the furthest slot and tighten the M2 and then screw the heatsink back on ? And does it matter that the rubber is not straight on the motherboard can I gently twist it straight ?
