Will this PC turn on?

Go to solution Solved by OddOod,

But yes, to answer the title question, it will turn on

Budget (including currency): 2400€

Country: Germany

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Cyberpunk 2077, GTA V, Minecraft, etc.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I will build it in two years, so it should be futureproof.

Nope, ask us 2 years later. Your build will be HOPELESSLY OBSOLETE by the time you pull the trigger. 14th gen Intel Raptor Lake Refresh is on the horizon, and Hopper architecture is already out and running with success on nvidia so honestly its a matter of time before its technology is integrated to Nvidia before long.

2 years is a long time in PC component years. Faster, more efficient parts will be out by then, and these parts will be less expensive and probably available used.

Keep up with the tech news until you're ready to build a PC.

for clarification, do you mean you are planning a build today with the efforts of building it in two years using used parts?
If so, i had this idea and gave it some thought a couple days ago.

it is actually a fantastic idea, you can  even plan for some alternatives like with motherboard, and trend the entire thing to really play the market hard.

if you simply want to buy all these new later, if even possible, it is ill advised. There is almost no such thing as futureproofing due to performance depreciation. Meaning the new in box price does not lower proportional to the performance of future cards.

If you mean you are planning to take two years to fully build it, I think you should state this first because I or others may be able to look further into it as it isn't an uncommon scenario if done as upgrades to a current box.

Dont think its worth it to go full Pepe Silvia on a new build now to buy used later when for the most part the used market will play itself fast.

Uh… No, I mean that these parts should be able to play the newest games at 1440p in two years and later, sorry I didn‘t write it in the description, because I thought it would just be fine, also in two years…

Thank you! (The power consumption‘s why I don’t wanna buy a 30 Series Card…)

Now that you state that thats just normal and most builds are expected to be able to do atleast that unless if its superbly poorly spec'd.

But yeah, a lot of cash can be shifted around here, which german retail youre shopping this from? Ya sounded pretty new in PC building here and consolidating your buy to 1 store helps a lot.

What shop I may go to is also one of the reasons why I went here, thank you!

Yeah in the most ideal way it would be to shop by the lowest overall, making sure theyre legit retailer, and hit go on it one by one. Geizhals does a very good job at price tracking for german market. But this one is something thats more realistic, split to 3 stores i trust in germany area.

Oh, thank you! But I think I'll keep this plan and update it until in two years.
