You need to replace that FX CPU & mobo with Intel & it's mobo. If you're only gaming i5 will be enough for that, if you do some video editing & 3d work then you need i7. Both will be overkill. AMD uses obsolete (32nm) architecture. It has weak cores & gonna bottleneck that R9 290 gpu.

I agree it has weak cores but it will not bottleneck a 290, maybe 2 290s

I have an upcoming build that was almost I dentical to that but I said screw that and decided instead of going for something like the 990 the 8320 and the killer to go with an 8350 a ASUS Crosshair formula and a 990x for just an extra 200-300 dollars cause I wanted more of an extreme computer at the highest tier I would go without it getting stupid. just a suggestion.

Thank you, very ressuring... any suggestions you can think of?

Well, if you don't plan on going crossfire in the future you could look for this motherboard and save some bucks, it's the same build quality and feature of the higher end 990FX board but it's better priced, being a 970 chipset

the 2nd pcie slot is only 4x though, but that's the only downside, this board is full ATX, as an 8+2 digital power phase, heatsinked high quality vrm's and mosfets...USB3 sata 3 etc...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128651

Also you need a CPU cooler, i would suggest a CM hyper 212 it cost about 30$..

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099

Other than that it's perfect, and as i said if you think you might go crossfire in the future then go with the 990FX board, but you will need a better PSU for cfx on r9 290 anyway...

EDIT: ALSO, no point in going with an FX-8350 it is the same exact CPU only the 8320 has a lower stock clock speed, it's unlocked so just set a different multiplier in the bios and you upgrade for free to 4.2 or 4.4 GHZ in a breeze..

some (most) FX-8320 can go as high as 4.6 or 4.8ghz with more voltage.
