Will give you a +75% boost so yeah, for $270 minus 1070 resale value (around $100-130), that's cheap

At that same price you may also get a new 7600, perfomance is samey than 6700XT (less than 5% slower), RT is better (well if you like slideshows anyway 😛 ), and it is more efficient (165W to 230W)

The 7600 performs worse than the 6700xt and your recommending that?

My First PC
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x
Cooler: Asus TUF Gaming LC240
Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix B550-f gaming
RAM: 4x8 GB Corsair Vengeance RS (3200 MHz, CL16)
Storage: 1tb Samsung 980 Pro
Graphics Card: Asus Dual RTX 2060 OC
Case: Deepcool Matrexx 50
Power Supply: Corsair RM650x
Headset: Razer Blackshark V2
Keyboard: Corsair K70 Pro Mini (Speed Silver switches)
Mouse: Razer Viper Mini
Only changes I have made is I sold the 2060 for $235 AUD and bought a Powercolor Red Devil 6700 XT for $400 second hand (it was barely used, think I scored a deal on Ebay with that).

I love Photography (Using a Canon 60D)

Love F1, my favourite team is Ferrari and my favourite driver is Leclerc

Wrong question: Do you NEED an upgrade. If you NEED an upgrade, just do it. Happy with the current performance in the workload you're doing? Keep on rocking! Easy as that!

Need vs want but now that prices are somewhat affordable makes sense to look at an upgrade appreciate it.

You can find em used for around 450 AUD (300 USD) here pretty easily, look around on ebay and fb marketplace (be careful on marketplace). You can usually get em for under 270 USD.

I don't recommend it, I've just given an alternative that is pretty equivalent, forgetting to point out the smaller VRAM (8GB to 10GB, which is not really an issue at 1080p, only good res for those cards)

Else it performs like 4% worse, that's +2 frame difference at 60FPS ... unnoticeable

yeah but 6700xt gets more than 60fps? It's constantly at 100+ in most games at 1080p.

Ok then I can see the 7600 a good choice but in most of the benchmarking videos I have watched the 6700xt constistenly got 10ps more than the 7600.
