Hey all,

I'm looking for an ideal CPU for my build which is going to be about $1200-1300.

The GPU ill be using will be an evga gtx 780 and my mobo will be based on the cpu.

ill be using my rig for playing games (mostly), recording a few videos and rendering them, also a little photoshop, 3D modelling and video editting.

im thinking of getting the amd fx 8350/8320

thanks in advance!

cheers,

Naru

If you are doing more editing than gaming. AMD 8320. If you play MMO's, massive multiplayer computer exclusives? Intel I5 is quite a bit faster. Both can be the right choice depending on what you play. If you play mostly single player, or console port shooters (the big titles like COD, BF4 etc)? You aren't going to notice a difference between AMD/Intel, all that matters is the GPU.

CPU:24/7-4770k @ 4.5ghz/4.0 cache @ 1.22V override, 1.776 VCCIN. MB: Z87-G41 PC Mate. Cooling: Hyper 212 evo push/pull. Ram: Gskill Ares 1600 CL9 @ 2133 1.56v 10-12-10-31-T1 150 TRFC. Your need i7 (4770k/3770k). It will satisfy your requirements as in gaming as in 3d, rendering...

Don't get AMD. They use old architecture, produce more heat, consume more energy, is weaker than i7 & requires good cooler to overclock, cause without it, it's very junk.

| CPU: i7 3770k | MOTHERBOARD: MSI Z77A-G45 Gaming | GPU: GTX 770 | RAM: 16GB G.Skill Trident X | PSU: XFX PRO 1050w | STORAGE: SSD 120GB PQI +  6TB HDD | COOLER: Thermaltake: Water 2.0 | CASE: Cooler Master: HAF 912 Plus |
