Corsair vengeance lpx ram stopped working

Leesands90

Hi all I have a pc I've built Been running fine for about 18 months before issues started first I had issues with ram about 3 months ago and I tried a bios flash back seemed to fix everything.

The other day I booted my pc it randomly shut down while I was at work and won't post

So I've done all the checks Inc bios update changing the ram.

I was running 32gb ram but then ran into issues reduced to 16 this worked for few months and now nothing

Not sure what to do any tips would be great

What's leading you to believe it's the RAM at fault (Stop Codes? etc.)

If you have a spare stick of RAM, I'd pop it in a slot to test. Once you've confirmed it's definitely the RAM at fault, it'll either be a case of RMA or Replacement.

Let us know how you get on!

Pull the board out of the case and put it on the anti static it shipped in(if you still have it). Leave only cpu and power plugged in. No drives, gpu and no ram. Start it by shorting the power pins with a screwdriver. If you don’t get an error code for ram you have a bad board, cpu, or psu.

To diagnose further from there you need to start swapping hardware.

If you get a RAM error try plugging in just one stick (slot A2) and see if it posts.

Sounds like the RAM is your issue then unfortunately. RMA or replacement would be the next steps from the sounds of it.

A year maybe depending on what warranty you've got with it. 2 years is unlikely.

May end up being a replacement.
