You gave him a list thats almost 500 bucks more expensive while he was asking for help to reduce the price of this 766 dollar build?
Yes its better, but why stop there... Go 4080 and 7900X3D.

So i just wanted to share the components im planning to buy for my first pc build. If anyone has any tips for reducing the cost or just anything in general.

This pc is supposed to be meant for gaming and some light editing.

Heres the parts : https://pcpartpicker.com/list/rrTz2m

For the money spent on fans, thermal compound and that old fashion mechanical drive you could just purchase a 2TB SSD.

To reduce costs use a less expensive CPU cooler, a B650 motherboard, a 2TB NVMe drive, a less expensive case. Since the PSU, among another components, has no price I've selected one that does.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

Your PSU is literally explosive, DO NOT use that. Get an A or B-tier psu from here: https://cultists.network/140/psu-tier-list/

Don’t get a 3050, it sucks. No need to spend money on those fans either. Just use the included case fans, and if you need more fans eventually get a 3 pack of Arctic P12 Max.

Here is a well-balanced list.

At this rate we're really throwing shit until it sticks on OP nebulous budget but this would be a nice sub 1k 1080p build. Be specific OP, never give a blank check to a strangers on the internet. If you need a line of reference, 700-1000$ is the start where gaming PC is worth it, with 1500$ proven time and time again to be the best bang for the buck.
