Help about future setup .

Hi!


I am currently trying to figure out what to get for my setup that I am trying to build. I currently am going to get a laptop for productivity use on the go, however, I want my laptop to be able to connect straight back to my personal rig at home to continue work. 

I am not sure if I should get a hub or a docking station or what would be the difference for them. I would like for my laptop to be connected to ethernet with a simple plug in of a cable. So that my 2 monitors are able to run off of that laptop. I am not sure if that is possible for the circumstance and if it is, what product would be recommended for that use. 

The laptop that I am to get will be a Dell XPS 15.


Help would be much appreciated!
