Windows will not log on?

Hello Internets,

 

So earlier today I sneakily got onto my sisters aging HP laptop to install a bit of network usage tracking software, as my family is always going over our data limit. the program was called Cucusoft Net Guard. After installation, I had a poke around her computer for any cleaning up I could do, and finding none, I shut it down and put it back on her desk. When she went to use it later this night, it has refused to load her desktop after accepting her password at the log in screen. I don't think that the program could cause a problem like this, but I am certainly open to suggestions, any help?
