Asus FX505 -GE PROBLEM!!

Go to solution Solved by jaslion,

You did all the steps if it still does that with all the stuff out that pretty much means something broke on the board. Which would only be fixable/traceable by people with knowledge of this as thats not that easy to figure out. (well technically it's just a HEAP of carefull probing with a volt meter).

Replacing the broken part is another big thing that is hard if it can be found.

I do gotta ask whats up with that keyboard. It's gray and thats not normal for any 505. Was that modified?

Best case the power button is causing a issue maybe but I doubt it as it's power cycling which usually means death for a laptop.

Hey guys ,so i have few years old Asus FX505 -GE laptop which was working great until one morning stop working. During the years i cleaned it often ,changed thermal paste few times, worked always on cooler.Problem is that when i press start button ,keyboard light and HDD light (one of 3 lightbulb it have) start for second and turn off. When i connect it on charger ,same thing show but just blinking repeatedly. I removed nvme SSD, tried with SSD, same thing happened. 2 sticks of ram, both giving same result. Battery,CMOS, same thing happened. Any one have idea what could be ? Thank for reply.

Its rubber dust/dirt cover, as Blqckqut said.
It have places to radiate on behind and all over the case.
Thing is that it was whole time on separate 6 fan cooler fans that was working on own power so that were full power cooling.
In gaming was always 92-93 deg but in warning labels inside, say it could go up to 103C so i dont think its that.

Now its at friend of a friend who fix Laptops for living so we will see..
I will report when /if he find out.
