ram and fake ram

so i found corsairs light rgb sitcks could i mix them with non rgb ram to save the 20 pounds more it whould be to get 2 stix of rgb

So they are simply for RGB lighting effect ? if so no worries as they have no ram on them to create any possible issues with ram you are currently using.

For some people having all four slots populated looks nice. having 4 dimms instead of 1 dimm a gap then a second dimm.

If they have enough ram but want to fill the empty spaces I imagine it is a relatively inexpensive option.

Since the advent of windowed PC's the "how they look" has leapt to the forefront.

Youtube is filled with 100s of thousands of builds all showing custom sleeved cables lights info screens etc etc. 

The days of hardware hidden behind a steel plate have long gone.

In the past it was more about how cool does the case look and now it is each and every component must look its best.
