Hi LTTstore LTT Forums

Kinda new at picking my own parts, so apologies for the possibly stupid and easily googlable question.

The backstory:

My PSU recently kicked the bucket and didn't manage to shock the rest of my system (Though it sure seemed to give its best effort, but ultimately rolled a nat 1). Loaned a PSU from my friend and everything else works, yay!

Now I need a new PSU, but not sure on how to choose one. The recently deceased one was picked by someone I'm not in contact with anymore.

I'm running the following:

  • AMD Ryzen 5 3600
  • Nvidia RTX 2060 super
  • 2 x 32gb, CL16 3600 MHz RAM

The question:

I've calculated the needed wattage to be just shy of 400W with my specs. How many W's should my new PSU be?

The only thing I'd like for the PSU, is to be modular, as I'd rather not deal with the overabundance of cables I don't use clogging up my case. I'm not fond of cheaping out on a PSU, but I'm not that fond of buying one that would be overkill for my system (Or one that would be "Future proofing" aka larger wattage in case I want to upgrade)

EDIT: I'd also like it to be around the 100€ price point, as this happened at the worst time financially 😅

Thank you for your time,

Peter

ax1600i, have one and its a great psu

Thanks for the suggestion, but I forgot to mention (Will edit), that I'd like one around the 100€ price point if possible.

Unfortunately this managed to happen at a time where I don't have a lot of money on hand, otherwise I'd shill out a lot for a great quality one.

Also, seems that one is 1600W 😅

In what Euro country do you spend your €100?

Estonia.

Closest price comparison I can give you is a 2 price comparison website, comparing different products to different merchants in Estonia (https://www.hinnavaatlus.ee/ & https://www.hind.ee/)
