Fans configuration

Go to solution Solved by Blqckqut,

back, then the airflow goes trough the case in a straight line instead of making a 90° turn to the top

Hey there,

I'm planning to build a computer in a 5000x case, and I wondered what is the optimal config of the fans in this case (no pun intended). The case comes with 3 120mm fans at the front, and I don't wanna change that. However, I am buying another 120mm fan (just like the ones that's included in the case), and I wanted to know where is the most optimal (in terms of cooling) place to put it, the back or the top (either one's gonna be exhaust). Any suggestions?

are you air cooling your cpu or water cooling it? if your air cooling it I would either go top intake above the heatsink or back exhaust. If your water cooling your gonna have to put it in the back as exhaust
