cpu New CPU PC won't post

Few things to note before I start:

I have a b550m Elite motherboard AM4 on bios version: FCc
My previous CPU:Ryzen 3 1200
New CPU: Ryzen 9 5900X

 

I also bought a 9 5900X about 2 weeks ago and had the same issue and couldn't sort it so I sent it for a refund and recently recorded a new one and I am having the same issue

 

I also noticed a lot of people on other forums seem to be having the same issues with this processor also

 

I have tried replacing all my components other than my motherboard as I cannot afford to as of this moment and that still hadn't worked and have also tried reinstalling the latest BIOS update for my motherboard

 

Other things I have tried that I saw on another forum:

1. Disconnect all external devices (keyboard, mouse, etc.) from your computer and try to boot it up again. If the BIOS recognizes the new CPU, it may be able to boot without any additional input.

 

2. If the computer still does not boot, try clearing the BIOS settings by removing the battery on the motherboard for a few minutes, then reinserting it and trying to boot again. This can sometimes reset the BIOS and allow it to recognize new hardware.

 

3.If the computer still does not boot, try updating the BIOS to the latest version to ensure compatibility with the new CPU. You can typically do this by downloading the latest BIOS update from the manufacturer's website and following their instructions for installation.

 

Things to also note:
I have also made sure the PSU isn't the issue by lending a more powerful one from my aunt that was 750W
Whereas mine is 650W

I have no screen output or Peripheral power/RGB doesn't turn on

And the system works perfectly fine with my old CPU

I am a college student and currently am out of work so I cannot afford a replacement motherboard to see if that's the issue

 

If there is anything else I should add please let me know

Edit: I have 16gb of ram 2x8 gb sticks and also tried in different slots as well as an older ddr4 ram stick from my old prebuild

 

Edit: I have tried the other bios fw option (there's only 2) and I still have the same issue

 

Edit: For further clarification all my pc fans spin and I cannot check for RGB as I don't use RGB components

Is your board rev 1.3?

Rev 1.0, 1.1, and 1.2 use different Bios.

Check the pins on the CPU for bent pins.

None are bent same as when I previously ordered the CPU and had it replaced

I turn my pc on all fans spin but it doesn't post and I'm also unable to turn it off by the power button

That does not seem like a CPU problem.

 

Can you try that Ryzen 5900X in a different system?

As of current no as I cannot afford another motherboard however I do plan on going to my local computer parts reseller and seeing if I would be able to test the CPU there

That is a good idea. Or friends. Or family. Someone has to have an AM4 board you could try to check if the CPU would post...
