Budget (including currency): $900

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for:

Games would be mostly destiny 2, Apex legends, Rainbow six siege, etc. Will be using PC for streaming and content creation as well. So should be able to handle streaming and gaming at the same time.

Already have monitor, mouse, keyboard, microphone etc. Just need the PC. Planning to buy in a couple weeks to a month. Would like to be running at 2k/120fps but I know realistically with my budget I'm probably looking at 1080p/120fps.

Also would like to say I'm all about saving money over appearance. So cheaper the better.

You could go with this, a 5600x and a mobo with inbuilt wifi 6. Also a Kingston NV2 1tb so enough storage to last you for now. On terms of gpu side 2k 120 fps is unachivable with this budget but 1080p 120fps should be achievable. For the GPU you should go with a 6700xt. Use stock cooler that comes with the CPU and in total this list comes down to 875.

My First PC
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x
Cooler: Asus TUF Gaming LC240
Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix B550-f gaming
RAM: 4x8 GB Corsair Vengeance RS (3200 MHz, CL16)
Storage: 1tb Samsung 980 Pro
Graphics Card: Asus Dual RTX 2060 OC
Case: Deepcool Matrexx 50
Power Supply: Corsair RM650x
Headset: Razer Blackshark V2
Keyboard: Corsair K70 Pro Mini (Speed Silver switches)
Mouse: Razer Viper Mini
Only changes I have made is I sold the 2060 for $235 AUD and bought a Powercolor Red Devil 6700 XT for $400 second hand (it was barely used, think I scored a deal on Ebay with that).

No reason not to get 32GB of RAM and a 2TB SSD.

Aftermarket cooling is totally doable as well.  The assassin king will be plenty to ensure that 5600 is runing as fast as it can at all times while keeping noise down quite a bit from stock cooling.  For $10 more you can get a 6700xt with an extra fan on the radiator so it'll boost better and run a little quieter.

This is a bit of stretch, but ITX config here actually works pretty well for getting the GPU fresh cold air from under the case.  The case also comess with a front intake fan and an exhaust fan, so with an aftermarket cooler you should have plenty of airflow.

LMK if you don't like the config, becuae you can also do something in mATX or ATX that would be about the same for the same price, this just seemed optimal given what's available on the market right now.  Also, check again when you're ready to buy becuase prices will be different then so the optimal parts list will look different, as a lot of this stuff is pretty much the same as similar parts, so 'what's best' is really just what's on sale and compatible.

Zen 3 has been out for almost 2 years, no they don't.  They'll ship with a compatible BIOS.

Good enough, sure, but it gets louder under load, and the assassin king is a 5 pipe cooler for $20.  That'll keep temps down to the point the the auto boost will keep it closer to max boost under any load.  It'll also be much, much quieter, as a 120mm fan over 5 heat pipes doesn't need to spin nearly as fast as a 92mm fan over a thin piece of aluminum to maintain the same temp.  It also does a better job of directing warm air from the radiator directly to the exhaust, as opposed to just spitting it all over the inside of the case.  On an $850 system, that $20 is worth it.  It's not like OP is losing out on a better GPU at that price point or anything else that matters, and the system is still $50 under budget with as much RAM and storage as anyone really needs (and already having BT and wifi).

Yeah released for the launch of ryzen 2000, which was way more power hungry than ryzen 5000.  X370, X470, AND X570 are all pretyy much about the same, save for tweaks to PCIe generation compatibility and lane counts.
