My mobo is msi b560m bazooka... And mos temperature is 62 C and pch temperature is 66 C.. I have got two m. 2 nvme which is using cpu lanes and other one chipset lane.. Was playing the last of us while running hwinfo in background.. Cpu power consumption was 150C and cpu temperature was 72 C.. Ambient temp is 24 C... I know that pch temps are normal and is problematic when temps are between 80-100 C.. But taking in account, the ambient temperature the weather is not hot... But still 66C.. Was it because I am using my second m. 2 nvme on mobo or because of high cpu power consumption? I used to play in extreme summer and my experience is that 68 C is maximum i would get... Actually i forgot to mention I don't have standoff and screws to place second nvme... So it used kepton tape ( they have temp limit of 250 C).. Is this tape causing high temp... It is not covering any capacitor.. It is just used to hold m. 2 nvme in its place...

Processor is i7 11700 f (power limits removed)... Mobo msi b560 m bazooka.. Gpu rx 6700 xt

PCH can get hot . I run an Aourus Master X570 and the PCH is stable at 72c pretty much all the time. Does get higher in games etc but generally as long as under 80c it is regarded as being ok.

over 80c is considered too high whilst if it exceeds 90c that is critical.

At least that is what I gleaned from the webs when I first built the Rig. most of the reports were a few years old at the time but these days the quality of components and their design has made them much more tolerant.

My situation is I believe a rather annoying board layout as the GPU blocks about 50% of the air intake for the PCH.
