switching boot drives

I just recently got a NvMa ssd samsung 970 and was wondering what the steps would be to switch this to my boot drive from a sata ssd. Is it even worth it? I noticed the read write speeds are about 3-4 times faster the the sata drive so how would I go about switching it over without doing a fresh instal of the OS.
