not familiar with TEAMGROUP but their products looks good. Would you choose your top recommend TEAMGROUP T-Create Expert 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory or G.Skill Trident Z RGB 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory?

Depends on whether you believe getting a better sub timing for marginal performance increase is imperative. Personally i wouldnt bother.

The OlOy i have no experience with much but their customer service atleast here in ID is very store centric.

Hi everyone! Long time listener first time caller and all that. Anyway, my pc recently died so I needed to build a new one. The problem is it's been awhile so I feel like a complete noob. So I delt with my build fatigue by buying something new and reasonable from IBUYPOWER. These are the specs: ?name=image.png

First thing I did was replace the power supply with a Corsaire ax1200I. I also replaced the NVME. Anyway, I called IBUYPOWER tech support and the gentleman recommended this: G.Skill Trident Z Neo Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin SDRAM PC4-28800 DDR4 3600 CL16-19-19-39 1.35V Dual Channel Desktop Memory Model F4-3600C16D-32GTZNC at Amazon.com But I didn't want 32, I wanted 64, so I chose this. G.Skill Trident Z RGB Series 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin SDRAM (PC4-28800) DDR4 3600 CL18-22-22-42 1.35V Dual Channel Desktop Memory Model F4-3600C18D-64GTZR at Amazon.com. But after my purchase I saw this: Amazon.com: G.Skill Trident Z NEO Series 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin SDRAM PC4-28800 DDR4 3600 CL18-22-22-42 1.35V Dual Channel Desktop Memory Model F4-3600C18D-64GTZN : Electronics

So my question is this, which one is better? I'm assuming the second one? And is it worth swapping out and replacing? I'm still within the return window. Or, would you choose a totally different 64GB memory set for this board? Thanks a lot in advance!

wait what? Why the insanely overkill PSU? Is this from the old build?

Anyway moving on: Neither. Both are identical in timing, the folks at iBuyPower is correct that you should purchase a 3600 C16 or the cheaper with very marginal performance loss 3200 C16 RAM. Ryzen loves RAM with fast access time (generally denoted by CL number, the smaller the faster, but of course there are some turbo nerd stuff that can mud the waters there like subtiming) and CL18 is just too slow. Its fine for architecture that favor raw RAM frequency like Intel, but not AMD. Also, whats your use case to the point where you need 64GB? 16 or 32GB kit is definitely enough.

First, thanks for the reply! Going backwards, as far as use case, I am using it for gaming and video editing. So I would like at least 64GB is there.

So neither huh? Interesting, ok. lower CL number, got it. What do you think of these? Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 64GB (2x32GB) DDR4 3200 (PC4-25600) C16 Desktop memory–Black (CMW64GX4M2E3200C16) at Amazon.com or would you go with something else?

Is the power supply from an old build? Sort of. The short answer is I had it laying around and never used it.

Man i wish i have that problem. But sure if you do need 64GB and have observed that you saturated 32GB then lets do it.

That kit is pretty nice on paper but i dont know why a lot of people cant boot the thing at 3200mhz stable at all times off the bat. here are more alternative at cheaper price.

TEAMGROUP T-Create Expert 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory

G.Skill Ripjaws V 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory

TEAMGROUP T-Force Xtreem ARGB 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory

G.Skill Trident Z RGB 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory

G.Skill Trident Z Neo 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory

G.Skill Trident Z Neo 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory

Thank you for that list, and again thank you so much for helping me with this!

One more question if I may. So while I do like G.Skill a lot I am of course open to whatever the best option is. And if I have to choose performance over rgb lighting I would rather choose the performance. lol So my question is this, I'm not familiar with TEAMGROUP but their products looks good. Would you choose your top recommend TEAMGROUP T-Create Expert 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory or G.Skill Trident Z RGB 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory?

I also found this: Amazon.com: OLOy Memory DDR4 RAM 64GB (2x32GB) 3200 MHz CL16 1.35V 288-Pin Desktop Gaming UDIMM (MD4U323216DJDA) : Clothing, Shoes & Jewelry How do these look to you? I'm not familiar with OLOy.

The OlOy i have no experience with much but their customer service atleast here in ID is very store centric.

Ok. I'm going to pull the trigger on the G.Skill one then. Thank you so much for the guidance!  PC tech has seemingly come a long way in ten years. lol
