its more for G-sync settings. And when i want to add specific settings to a program. (you know.. add 3d settings -> program settings instead of global) that kind of stuff. I can live with it not showing up in my hidden icons menu.. But i need to make sure that the settings i make in the control panel is still working when i close the window

Change a setting what you can see visually and if it runs that way you know it is working.

My nvidia control panel is not showing up in my hidden icon ..thingy.
And its not running in task manager either. I have tried uninstalling it and reinstall, but nothing changes. I can open it if i search for it but the moment i click the x, its just gone. Usually it would just hide itself in the icon tray and run in the background together with nvidia experience.
I'm on windows 11 if that matters.
Anyone got a fix for this?

Hi there,

If you can't find NVIDIA Control Panel in the context menu or in the notification tray. Go to Control Panel and then to NVIDIA Control Panel. Click on it and go to the Desktop tab. Select Add Desktop Context menu and Show Notification Tray Icon.

Bit of a tech guy, converted to PC's when consoles did not entertain me enough, the last console being an Xbox, was fun with Halo multi-play though. But  the want to discover, to test, to learn more about computers drove me to levels I had never known...

Some GPU's I have had, 8800GTS 384MB, 7800GT, GEFORCE 4 MX440, 250GTS,  770 GTX, 1650 GTX, RTX 3050 Plus many other GPU's over the years...

The respect I have for LMG is massive like a black hole, sucking in all the knowledge, I watch their awesome video's, their knowledge is like that of a God. Seriously some say they are number 1 in the whole wide world. LMG is like the INTEL fabrication plant. Beaming with technology goodness...

both of those are on already. I found out i can open control panel by double clicking the nvidia icon (the one in the picture above) So i can open it from there.. Just, i'm not sure if the settings i made in control panel is active when i close the menu

Okay good. They will be. So you can change graphical settings on GPU in the panel?

I tried setting specific settings for 2 different games (max fps 30) Then closed the control panel. I then booted up the games and they were both locked at 30fps.
So.. That tells me that its working even if i close the app menu. I'm gonna assume its working as it should (if we ignore that its not showing in the hidden icons menu) and just roll with it.
Thanks for your time

Great at least you got your control over it. Yeah it seems to be working from what you say. Happy gaming! 🙂
