I wouldn't worry about motherboard sag/flex when moving a computer. The case should keep the motherboard rigid in transport, and the stand-offs are designed to keep the board secure.

 

However, you can fit an mATX board in a much smaller case, which can certainly be an advantage for transporting the PC.

Just my 2c, if the person will be moving it around. And space is no concern, how about going with an ITX build. The only thing I'd worried about is the gpu. If it can fit

ITX tends to be much more expensive and the ones that are truly more portable than mATX systems often have compatibility issues with components like graphics cards and coolers. Also, the build process itself is generally much more complex.

the m-atx motherboard is not the issue if you want clearance. It's the case that you are talking about. most m-atx cases don't have the best clearance for air coolers, if that's what you're asking for.
