Hi guys, I recently been having issues wherein I'm just browsing the internet or watching LTT on Youtube and suddenly the tab will crash and the error message is "Out of Memory". I've googled every possible solution to no avail. I also experience BSODs from time to time for no apparent reason. The error messages are always different. I even tried a fresh install of Windows 10 but the results are the same.

I'm confident that all my pc components are working fine except for the GPU which I bought from a second hand vendor of refurbished GPUs, they told me it was used mainly for 3D Rendering and not mining.  I already flashed its Bios to the default one that I could find online but that didn't seem to work either. I haven't tried a different bios for it just yet since its not so much that the GPU is failing on me so frequently.

This wasn't occuring on my previous build where every component was the same aside from the GPU since I upgraded from a Palit GTX 1060 6GB, only when I switched to the RTX 2060 6GB I started noticing the problems occuring more and more and at first I didn't want to put the blame on the GPU itself but the more I used it the more it kept happening and whilst watching YT videos or any videos of any streaming platform it would pixelate on me. I had to pause the video for it to go back to normal. What's worse is that it even spread to my gaming. I would run a game fine for a few hours but then suddenly crash on me multiple times. (Games played: CoD MW2.0, RE4 Remake, Dying Light, Battlefield V, CS:GO)

My current PC's specs:

i3-10100

Asus Prime H510M-K

Kingston HyperX 16GB 2666Mhz
Samsung Evo 870 1TB SATA SSD
ThermalTake Smart SE 630W
Colorful RTX 2060 NB-V
Windows 10 Pro

Hoping to get some advise and feedback for this as I am losing my mind.

1. You might need to buy a new graphics card.

2. Have you updated the motherboard bios?

2. I have updated the BIOS and reinstalled the GPU to stress test. Its better now but it still crashes once or twice but not that frequent. Does it have to do with the choice of RAM I have?

1. I could not tell you for certain. You would have to test the memory using software by the link. Download the free version via the link. You may watch the instructional video inside the link or review the readme that comes with the memtest download in the zip archive about how to make it bootable via a usb flash drive. MemTest86 Free (Version 10.4 Build 1000. It takes about 35 minutes - 1 hour to run through the test. It is best to run it atleast two times and allow it to detect any errors.

@RolosoloR hold shift down and reboot.. to enter troubleshooting.. in there click troubleshoot and then advanced.. and then command prompt .. there you type sfc /scannow

after a period of crashing.. windows files can get corrupted.. this is an easy way to fix that.

when it is done it should say if it fixed any errors.. .. then close window and enter windows.
