I been using an old wired keyboard with my laptop with 2 external monitors and it is an old dell wired keyboard that came with a dell xps 8100 desktop over a decade ago.

Not long ago, many of the keys on the keyboard such as spacebar, n and several other keys do not work. This keyboard however is very dirty and has tons of junk under it. Imagine all sorts of junk such as food crumbs and dust under it. The only reason I used this old keyboard the last few years with my laptop is I like the design and feel of the keyboard and the keys worked. I would want to buy something exactly like this but is something like this available?

Dell SK 8165 is the model. If you look at the picture, you notice how the keys are. Also the bottom of the board, what I like about it is there is like a very small area below the keyboard. Other keyboards either have nothing below the spacebar line of the keyboard. Some other keyboards have a huge palm rest under it which I am not a fan of. So I am looking for a wired keyboard like this.

I thought finding a wired keyboard like this would be simple on amazon.

Logitech K120 - $13+tax

https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-920-002478-K120-USB-Keyboard/dp/B003ELVLKU/ref=sr_1_8?crid=2036CAJ88TWH3&keywords=wired+keyboard&qid=1682393285&sprefix=wired+keyboard%2Caps%2C98&sr=8-8

This seemed to show on amazon and it looked good. But then I read it is very loud if you type on it? I have never even heard of a loud keyboard but people say it's a loud keyboard?

Amazon Wired Keyboard - $11+tax

https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Matte-Keyboard-QWERTY-Layout/dp/B07WJ5D3H4/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2THQ7U05J706F&keywords=keyboard&qid=1682396042&s=electronics&sprefix=keyboard%2Celectronics%2C75&sr=1-1

This one seems to look like it doesn't make noise? But some comments of it doesn't seem that good.

Cherry Wired Keyboard - $26+tax

https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Matte-Keyboard-QWERTY-Layout/dp/B07WJ5D3H4/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2THQ7U05J706F&keywords=keyboard&qid=1682396042&s=electronics&sprefix=keyboard%2Celectronics%2C75&sr=1-1

Is this the closest thing to the dell wired keyboard I have? Comments seem decent and some say keyboard isn't quiet but also isn't loud etc.

Dell KB216 Keyboard - $19+tax

https://www.amazon.com/Dell-Wired-Keyboard-Black-580-ADMT/dp/B00ZYLMQH0/ref=sr_1_4?crid=2036CAJ88TWH3&keywords=wired+keyboard&qid=1682393285&sprefix=wired+keyboard%2Caps%2C98&sr=8-4#customerReviews

Comments are some good and others bad.

X9 Keyboard - $25 +tax

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08G1WNS6F/ref=ewc_pr_img_2?smid=A1EFL1J69ZJCO9&psc=1

This one has mostly good reviews but the issue here is the palmrest at the bottom of the keyboard is huge and takes so much space which I do not like.

I only want a wired keyboard, no wireless. Can someone recommend me a wired keyboard like the current dell one I am still using? I like the way the keys are and everything.

Isn't there a physical electronics store nearby you? Specifically one that also sells computer related parts of course. Often enough (depending on the size of the store) they will have a decent selection of keyboards on display you can also type on a bit. As you seem to be concerned about how loud the keyboard is that might actually work out better for you.

There aren't many subjects that benefit from binary takes on them in a discussion.

There is a best buy but you mean big name or any electronics stores?  The thing is unless it is a big name store, isn't it going to be very expensive?

Well i was going to order that logitech one as it seem very popular and cheap but then i read about loud keyboarid.  i'm not even sure if my current keyboard is loud?  How would i even test that?

i want wired keyboard only.  Would be using it all day and night.

if i could buy that exact dell keyboard i currently have, i would want that.

can others tell me the exact characteristics im looking for in a keyboard that fit the description with the one i currently have?  it isn't considered chicklet nor like a typewriter.  So what you call those keys?  Also dust and things can easily fall into the keys.

But what type of keyboard is the one i have?  is it a gaming keyboard?  it came with the dell xps 8100 desktop years ago.

Anyone similar keyboards like this?

Also posted wrong link earlier of the cherry one in 3rd link.

So any of the 5 keyboards i posted any similar to the dell one i have?

Some of them will be, some of them will not be. But does that really matter if it allows you to check if it is to your liking? Specifically in the price range you are looking for you will not find a lot of dedicated reviews.

Up to you of course, just trying to be helpful.
