Hello guys, i came here because as i can see you know much about keyboards and i need suggestions... So i don't have much choice in my country, and i can choose between few of them so help please... I would like to buy mechanical keyboard, i only tried blue switch and i don't mind if it's loud, i like it, but i didn't try any other and my favorite is corsair k70(180$) with red cherry switches, here is only available with red and i can't try it because its not in my town i have to order it... However in my town are availble quickfire tk with blue cherry switches(125$) and blackwidow ultimate(210$) and bw t edition(110$)... Can you guys help me to choose keyboard, and can you tell me is there big difference between blue and red switches? And i forgot to tell you, i am using keyboard for gaming ( only league of legends ) and for typing ( school works, forums...)

Sorry for bad english guys :)

There is a HUGE difference between Blue and Red switches. That clicking sound and feel you experienced with the blue isn't there on a red or black switch. Red and black switches are completely smooth and silent if you don't push them all the way down.

As a general guide (though this isn't something you necessarily have to stick to) blue switches are recommended for typing, and red/black are recommended for gaming. with brown switches being a good middle ground between the two extremes. Since it sounds like you'll be doing more typing than gaming I would suggest you get a blue and as you said you don't mind how loud it is I'm assuming that is something that will carry over to games.

Of the ones available to you, I'd suggest you go for the Quickfire TK.

EDIT:

If you don't mind the lack of backlighting and a number pad, the Quickfire TK is a great choice for a budget mechanical keyboard

The TK has the numberpad. It's the Rapid that's Tenkeyless and without backlighting.

TK does have backlight, or at least all the models I've seen.

Quickfire TK is a decent entry keyboard, but not a good choice if you use both the numpad/arrows a lot and at the same time. If you're like me and only rarely use the numpad, its fine.

As I've not used any of the other keyboards, can't really comment on it.

The difference between reds and blues is that blues are a tactile, clicky switch.

This means when the key is activated on blues you feel where it activates, reds are smooth the whole way down.

Also when the key is activated in blues it makes the click, red does not have this.

Reds require a lighter force to actuate them, so some gamers like them for the weight, some typists don't as it can make them make more mistakes.

Its a pretty individual choice, If you could, I would try out some switches at a shop.

I though the TK stood for Tenkeyless

TKL stands for Tenkeyless, not sure what the TK in Quickfire TK stands for.

Quickfire TK has a numpad, intergrated with with arrows/all the buttons above the arrows.

Means you get the functionality of a full keyboard, whilst being smaller than one. Albeit not having the same functionality simultaneously.

Having num-lock active gives a numpad, other wise it is used for arrows, del, end,pg up/dwn, home etcetc.

I believe the TK in the Quickfire means just "ten-key". A ten-keyless keyboard removes the num-pad but retains the control keys (arrows, insert, del, etc.) while the Quickfire TK does it the other way around.
